ERP Application Specialist | Permanent Position
Your new company
This organisation is a well‑established business operating across retail and wholesale channels, supported by a stable and business‑critical ERP environment. The company values ownership of its systems and intellectual property, operates with a lean internal IT function, and partners with external vendors where appropriate. With a strong focus on continuity, scalability, and continuous improvement, the business is investing in strengthening its internal ERP and applications capability.
Your new role
As an ERP Applications Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting and enhancing the organisation's ERP and associated applications. Reporting to the IT Manager and working closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors, you will provide Level 2/3 application and ERP support, ensuring systems remain stable, secure, and aligned with business needs.
Your responsibilities will include supporting day‑to‑day ERP operations, managing incidents and problems, performing root cause analysis, and contributing to ongoing system improvements. You will act as the primary point of contact for ERP and application‑related issues, manage integrations (including website‑to‑ERP), support upgrades and enhancements, and assist with testing and deployment of new features.
This role requires a strong blend of business analysis capability and technical understanding, including the ability to read and understand SQL queries and API interactions, without needing to be a hands‑on developer. You will also work closely with retail and wholesale stakeholders to ensure systems effectively support core business processes.
What you'll need to succeed
* Proven experience in ERP and application support within a complex business environment
* Strong understanding of retail and wholesale business processes (highly desirable)
* Experience supporting ERP systems, with Epicor ERP experience is highly desirable.

* Ability to read, understand, and troubleshoot SQL (mid‑level capability)
* Ability to read and understand API integrations and data flows between systems
* Experience supporting integrations such as website‑to‑ERP and eCommerce platforms (e.g. Shopify)
* Solid incident and problem management skills, including root cause analysis
What you'll get in return
* A permanent, full‑time role within a stable and well‑established organisation
* The opportunity to become the go‑to ERP specialist in a critical business function
* Exposure to retail and wholesale operations with meaningful business impact
* The chance to reduce vendor reliance and shape the future of the ERP environment
* Competitive remuneration and a supportive, collaborative team environment
* A role with genuine longevity and opportunity to grow alongside the business
