Substance Abuse Specialist
We are seeking a full-time Substance Abuse Specialist to provide direct assistance to individuals with mental disabilities in understanding and managing substance abuse. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, evaluating, implementing, and modifying case management plans that meet productivity standards.
* Develop case management plans for residents with substance abuse disorders, ensuring timely completion and adherence to productivity standards.
* Arrange transportation for residents attending substance abuse appointments and ensure participation in treatment programs.
* Promote Integrated Dual Disorder Treatment (IDDT) upon discharge for residents with co-occurring mental illness and substance abuse disorders.
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
* Ability to work for extended periods while sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and stretching.
* Proficiency in using computer software such as Microsoft Word and Outlook.
* Comprehensive knowledge of the causes and processes of mental illness and substance abuse disorders.
