About the role
As the successful applicant, the Leading Hand Carpenter will also act as a Site Foreman to lead our team in producing quality work in a timely manner.
Your duties will include but not be limited to:
* managing our yard staff of 12+ employees
* performing building tasks & managing stock levels where needed
* occasional off-site work for delivery of buildings, decking etc. as required
* performing quality control checks throughout the building process
* daily reporting to the Director on work progress/stock levels.
(Please note this is not an office position; you will be required to be on the tools working alongside our yard staff throughout the day as required.)
About you
To be successful in this role, you will need the following:
* Full Australian working rights essential
* Current White Card
* Current Australian driver's license & own transport
* 5+ years previous carpentry experience highly preferred
* Sound understanding of the building industry
* Strong management skills.
