HR Officer DVP (Mat Leave 12 Months)

Diamond Valley Pork is currently recruiting a Maternity Leave cover (12 months) Human Resources Officer to join the team in a full-time capacity. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, this role will best suit someone who is passionate, motivated and people focused.


Core Responsibilities

1. Act as a first point of contact for internal team member employee relations enquiries.
2. Compile weekly HR KPI reports.
3. Ensure compliance with legislation and JBS Policies and Procedures.
4. Update and maintain all HR records, employee files and systems database.
5. Ensure Human Resources Management System (HRMS) compliance.
6. Develop effective relationships with all relevant internal stakeholders.
7. Maintain manning levels to meet business requirements.
8. Support the HR BP with HR Initiatives.
9. Coordinate the employee recruitment process including screening, interviews & issuing employment offers, including local and offshore recruitment.
10. Manage discipline matters of workers in conjunction with People & Performance and Processing Managers.
11. Monitor absenteeism and work to improve absenteeism rates.
12. Manage effective relationships with Site Managers.
13. Identify and coordinate training needs in conjunction with the Training team.
14. Manage the employee exit process.
15. Ensure annual objectives are regularly reviewed and met.
16. Contribute to key business activities as required.
17. Adhere to all Company policies, procedures, processes and work instructions at all times.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

1. Previous experience with SuccessFactors.
2. Strong administration and data processing skills.
3. Strong attention to detail.
4. Ability to work professionally and effectively within a team environment.
5. Highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
6. Excellent time management skills and ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines.
7. Must be able to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
8. Highly organised self-starter and committed to seeing projects through to the end.
9. Background in manufacturing experience is ideal but not essential to be successful in this role.
