As a key member of the Office of the Chief Pharmacist team and reporting to the Director, Scope of Practice, you will play a pivotal role in shaping programs and initiatives that drive statewide improvements in healthcare, medication safety, quality and cost-effectiveness.
This includes current work on expanded scope of practice to support a sustainable health workforce.
The role provides an opportunity to effect meaningful change, influence state and national direction, develop expertise, drive legislative and program compliance and support quality and safety at a statewide level by: Supporting programs and Committees that champion systematic improvements and excellence in medication safety, quality of care and system-wide performance across South Australia.
Contributing to strategic, projects aligned with whole-of-state priorities and provide expert input into national policy on complex and sensitive issues.
Providing high-level clinical advice on the safe and effective use of medicines and therapeutic goods, guiding statewide initiatives that improve patient outcomes.
Contributing to medicines and pharmacy governance -related committees, pharmacy scope of practice projects and other statewide initiatives focused on optimising medication safety and improving the quality of healthcare.
