The Opportunity
Play a pivotal role in shaping the nursing student experience at UniSC. As the Nursing Placement Project Officer within the Work Integrated Learning (WIL) team, you will lead the coordination and change management required to implement the new nursing curriculum within Professional Experience Placement (PEP) administration, driving a smooth transition while maintaining high-quality, industry-aligned clinical placements.
You will
* Lead change management and process improvements for nursing placement administration;
* Monitor placement capacity, quality, and resolve placement-related issues;
* Build and maintain strong partnerships with healthcare providers and stakeholders;
* Ensure compliance, manage risk, and support audit and quality assurance activities; and
* Drive workforce planning, innovation, and readiness for new program delivery (incl. training).
About you
You are a highly capable professional with demonstrated leadership, project and change management experience, and a proven ability to thrive in high-performing team environments. You bring exceptional communication and negotiation skills, allowing you to build and sustain strong, strategic relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders. Agile and solutions-focused, you confidently navigate complexity and change, applying sound judgement and strong problem-solving skills to deliver practical, effective outcomes.
You will possess:
* Completion of a Tertiary qualification in relevant field, with at least four years' of demonstrated experience or extensive experience and management expertise, or an equivalent alternate combination of relevant knowledge training and/or experience;
* Demonstrated advanced professional expertise and capacity to exercise independent judgement in managing complex clinical placement operations with institutional impact;
* Proven leadership, project and change management capabilities in a high performing team environment;
* Demonstrated ability to provide specialist advice to senior stakeholders on placement capacity, risk, regulatory compliance matters and workforce plans; and
* Proficiency in the use of enterprise systems, placement management software, and data reporting tools to inform planning and decision-making.
