Recruitment & Support Practitioner

The Role:
As Recruitment & Support Practitioner, you will be responsible for working within a collaborative team approach to participate in the recruitment, marketing, training and assessment of prospective home-based carers, including assessment reports. You will also develop and maintain effective relationships with local media, community groups, schools and other agencies/stakeholders.
To Be Successful in This Position:
* You will need a Tertiary qualification in Social Work or other relevant area.
* Extensive experience in child, youth and family welfare, particularly in out-of-home care, is essential.
* You must have a sophisticated understanding of the legislative, policy and practice environment of out-of-home care.
* You should possess skills and experience in supervising carers.
* A current Victorian (or equivalent) driver's license is required.
* Demonstrated skills in case management are necessary.
* You will need well-developed organisational skills.
* You must have an understanding of, and capacity to act according to, the principles and intent of the Children, Youth and Families Act 2005.
