Based on the North West Coast of Tasmania this position will be providing School Social Work service to the West Coast Coast. Queenstown, Tasmania is one of the most unique, rugged, and fascinating towns in Australia – famous for its dramatic landscapes, mining history, and access to some of Tasmania's best wilderness. It's beautiful and iconic – just outside the rocky landscape, you can step into lush temperate rainforest.
Role Responsibilities
* Provide professional advice and services such as counselling, mediation, advocacy and information for students, families and schools
* Assist the senior social worker to provide leadership and specialist support in response to critical incidents and emergencies, including support for staff involved
* Assist with complex case management
* Provide professional practice supervision and leadership in professional learning

* Ongoing permanent part‐time hours of 15.2 hours per fortnight – ASAP start date

Essential Qualifications
* Tertiary qualification/program of study accredited by the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) and is a full member of AASW or is eligible for membership with the AASW
* Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP) with a registration status – Employment
Desirable Qualifications
* A current driver's licence
