**The Opportunity**
BDA is looking for an Avionics (B2) Maintenance Training Instructor to join our team and support the 82WG Training Services (1SQN Training Flight) for the fleet of F/A-18F Super Hornets and EA-18G Growlers. This position is based in Amberley, Queensland. Your exceptional avionics experience and training skills will be vital in providing Aviation Maintenance Training for the ACEA Program in a unique and challenging environment.
**Responsibilities will include**:
- Support the RAAF Training Flight Lead in training execution by supplementing existing team tasks, including course delivery, development, and management tasking.
- Develop and enhance Maintenance Training materials, including analysis, design, and development of courseware artefacts and learning management packages, as well as managing learning management systems.
- Ensure maintenance authorisation currency and the integrity of training products through ongoing involvement in Line and Base Maintenance activities, in accordance with DASR 66 requirements.
- Support the development and implementation of new Technical Training approaches, products, and processes.
- Maintain excellent communication skills, adhere to schedules, and effectively manage multiple tasks and time.
- Foster strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, and peers.
- Deliver Aircraft Maintenance and substantive Technical Training courses to internal and external customers of the ACEA program.
- Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) support for training and operational activities as directed.
**Experience/Qualifications**
**Essential**:
- Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Avionics).
- Military Aviation Maintenance License (MAML) with an existing Aircraft Type Certification or equivalent commercial qualification.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience working with F/A-18F Super Hornets, EA-18G Growlers, or equivalent Fast Jet Aircraft types.
- Experience in conducting training, assessment, and supervision in the current Aviation Maintenance environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively in a multi-team environment and ensure successful learning outcomes.
- Established communication, multi-tasking, and time management skills.
- Applicants must be Australian Citizens and meet security clearance and ITAR requirements.
- Have a current /or the ability to obtain a NV1 Defence Security Clearance (minimum)
**Desirable**:
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE10116 or equivalent) or a willingness to obtain this qualification.
- Experience and qualifications with an ARMTECH background.
- Awareness of enhanced training methods and an innovative mindset to implement and support flexible learning delivery of new technologies.
- Highly competent Aeroskills B2 Trade Instructor/Mentor with courseware development skills.
- Experience with Defence Aviation Safety Regulations.
