The Opportunity

As a Chief Auditor you will:

- Provide strategic direction, leadership and advice in contemporary Compliance and Performance, Audit, Assurance and Review strategies that will contribute to improved governance and organisational performance outcomes for the Department.
- Undertake complex Reviews and Special Investigations as requested by the Director General (DG), Deputy Director General Professional Standards Regulation and Legal (DDG PSRL), the Independent Chair and / or the Committee.
- Develop and maintain appropriate protocols and relationships with Departmental Divisional Leaders and Managers to be able to monitor the status of implementation actions arising from Audits, and reports to the DG, DDG PSRL, the Independent Chair and / or the Committee on non-compliance as necessary.
- Lead and direct the efficient operations of the Audit Team including staff leadership, supervision, teamwork and development, and the management of external Contractors and Consultants engaged to undertake Audits and Reviews.
