Reporting to the IT Manager, you will assist our staff by responding to support requests, carrying out project work to uplift our internal systems, and by being our resident expert in all things Microsoft 365, Apple and mobile device management.
This position would suit a self-starter who embodies a customer-first attitude and wants to hone their desktop engineering and support skills in a supportive and collaborative environment. There is significant scope for you to leave your stamp on the organisation by owning and implementing best-practice solutions, taking end-to-end ownership of our desktop fleet and implementing security controls that support our staff.
Day-to-day duties of this role include:
Providing effective helpdesk support to our staff.
Responding to security alerts.
Managing identity platforms such as Entra ID, Okta, AD.
Managing workstations, including (mostly) Windows, Apple, and iPhone devices.
Server and endpoint patching.
Maintaining the IT asset register and general documentation.
IT administration such as on-boarding and off-boarding of employees, access control, change management, reporting.
Assist in planning and implementation of IT projects.
What we are looking for
Demonstrated expertise in managing and troubleshooting Windows 11, MacOS, iOS, Windows servers, firewalls, VPN appliances.
Highly skilled in M365 and AD/Entra administration including PowerShell scripting and application packaging and deployment.
Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, time management and prioritisation skills.
Experience implementing ACSC Essential 8 controls.
SharePoint and OneDrive administration.
Microsoft and Apple certifications.
3-5 years in a similar role.
