About the role
We are seeking a talented Fashion Designer to join our dynamic team at Billy J. We are looking for someone who understands our customer and can translate trends into polished, commercial product that feels distinctly Billy J. As our Fashion Designer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the aesthetic and direction of our women's fashion brand. This is a fast‐paced role suited to someone who thrives in a growing business, thinks creatively but designs commercially, and can bring fresh ideas all while staying true to our brand DNA.
What you'll be doing
* Conceptualise and design on‐trend clothing collections that align with our brand's vision and appeal to our target customers
* Oversee all aspects of the design process, from initial sketches to sourcing fabrics and trims
* Identify emerging trends and stay up-to-date with the latest fashion and industry developments to inform your designs
* Partner with the Buying and Marketing teams to bring the product to life and support the promotion and sell‐through of new collections
* Continuously seek opportunities to innovate and push the boundaries of our brand's aesthetic
What we're looking for
* 3–6+ years' experience in women's fashion design, ideally fast fashion or eCommerce
* Strong understanding of trend cycles and social‐first fashion
* A strong, proven track record of creating successful, commercially viable fashion collections
* Advanced technical design skills, including proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
* In‐depth knowledge of garment construction, manufacturing processes and industry trends
* Experience working in a fast‐paced, high‐volume environment
* Strong time management and ability to handle multiple deadlines
