In this role, you will provide a high level of administrative and clerical support and assist in the efficient and effective operation of the Staff Health Service.

The Team

The Staff Health Unit is the dedicated occupational health service within the Tasmanian Health Service, supporting employees across Southern Tasmania's hospitals and community health services. The unit provides occupational health assessments, immunisation and vaccination programs, workplace exposure management and support for workplace health and safety compliance, promoting the health, safety, and wellbeing of the workforce.

The Role

The Administrative Assistant provides administrative support to facilitate the coordination and efficient operation of the Staff Health Unit, working closely with the Clinical Nurse Consultant and Nursing Director – Nursing and Midwifery Workforce and Wellbeing.

Qualifications

* Sound knowledge and experience in office management practices and undertaking comprehensive administrative support duties with experience in utilising various hospital information systems, or the ability to quickly acquire this knowledge.
* Well-developed interpersonal, organisational and communication skills with the proven ability to liaise with a wide range of internal and external clients and staff while maintaining a high level of discretion and confidentiality.
* High-level computer skills including the ability to maintain and manage electronic databases and filing systems and prepare reports for management.

Details of appointment

Permanent part time, day worker position, working 52.44 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary

$73,811 to $79,779 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.
