The Role
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Civil Operator to join our small, family-run civil crew in Dubbo, NSW. This role involves operating a range of machinery and equipment to support civil construction projects, including excavation, drainage, roadworks, and material handling. The ideal candidate will have experience operating plant machinery, a strong commitment to safety, and a willingness to assist with general labouring tasks as needed.
6 month casual probation period on successful completion will be offered a full time position
Responsibilities
* Operate machinery such as excavators, rollers, skid steers and grader
* Assist with excavation, drainage, road construction, and material placement
* Perform basic machine maintenance and safety checks
* Work alongside the team to support manual labour and site preparation
* Follow safety regulations and workplace procedures
* Spot for other machinery and assist with traffic control as required
Requirements and Skills
You will need:
* White Card (essential)
* HR or MR Licence (preferred)
* Excavator final trim, (essential)
* Roller, and/or Posi Track tickets (desirable)
* Experience in civil construction and machine operation
* Strong safety awareness and ability to work in a team
* Willingness to assist with labouring tasks when needed
* GPS knowledge Trimble (advantage)
