* Salary Range: QLGIA (Stream A, Level 4-5) $83,674.04 – $91, % Superannuation
* Location: Monto
* Schedule: 8-day fortnight (3-day weekend)

About the role

North Burnett Regional Council is seeking a Civil Works Supervisor (Construction) to lead multi-skilled teams in the delivery of new construction of Council, private and main roads works, and the maintenance of essential infrastructure including roads, drainage and footpaths. Based in Monto and reporting to the Civil Works Coordinator (North), this key role is responsible for ensuring works are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality.

About you

You will have the ability to provide effective supervision and leadership, creating a cohesive and productive team environment. You will have relevant qualifications and a solid background in civil construction, with experience in scheduling works and delivering services. A strong focus on, and thorough understanding of, safe work practices is essential. Experience in a local government environment will be highly regarded.

In addition, you will have:

* Unrestricted 'C' class drivers' licence, (additional Licences or tickets highly regarded)
* Possess a Work Safe in the Construction Industry Induction Certificate (White Card).
* The ability to obtain a National Police Certificate.
* Tertiary qualifications or be undertaking formal qualifications relevant to the work area (e.g., Certificate III in Civil Construction Plant Operations).

Key responsibilities

* Complete construction and maintenance work in accordance with the program, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
* Assist the Manager and internal stakeholders with administration and reporting functions, including cost management, WH&S compliance, and project management.
* Support the scheduling and delivery of services within the civil construction area.
* Respond to customer enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
* Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with approved practices, including work site safety, tool and plant maintenance, and Safe Operating Procedures.
* Care for and protect Council resources, materials, assets, and property.
* Maintain work sites, depots, plant, and equipment in a clean and safe condition.
* Provide effective supervision and leadership to the team, including overseeing work completed by contractors.
