Ipswich High School is a vibrant day and boarding school for boys and girls aged 3-18, set in an idyllic 87-acre campus in Woolverstone on the banks of the River Orwell, just four miles outside Ipswich. Role Description
Ipswich High School is seeking an exceptional Head of Finance to play a central role in shaping the future of our school. As a key member of our senior team, you will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight of all financial services.
You will work closely with the Head, Senior Leadership Team, Directors and Governors, contributing to high-level decision-making and helping to steer the school through both day-to-day operations and long-term planning. From budget setting and financial forecasting to compliance, audit and income generation, you will lead with both precision and vision.
The hours of work for this role are a minimum of 30 hours per week up to a maximum of 36, to be worked over 5 days, 52 weeks per year.
We are looking for someone who:
* Brings strong financial expertise (ACCA/CIMA or equivalent experience is essential)
* Thinks strategically and acts decisively
* Is confident advising senior leaders and challenging where appropriate
* Can lead and develop finance teams
* Understands the importance of financial stewardship in an educational setting
* Is motivated to succeed and keen to play a lead role in moving the school forward
