Key Responsibilities:
* Provide administrative support to projects, including coordinating events, managing portfolios, and purchasing and procurement.
* Organise meetings, forums, and events, including venue booking, equipment, catering, room setup, and meeting correspondence.
* Provide customer service to members and stakeholders, communicating sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people.
* Maintain and update corporate records, coordinate mail services, and support travel and accommodation bookings.
* Review tasks and administrative procedures to identify and implement improvements.
The ideal candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, and an ability to build relationships with a broad range of people. They must also be able to work positively and effectively in a team environment to achieve outcomes. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
Requirements:
* Ability to work with Aboriginal people and demonstrate an understanding of Aboriginal Australian culture.
* Good verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people.
* Proven time management and organisational skills, experience with a diverse workload, and the ability to meet deadlines.
* Well-developed experience in undertaking administrative tasks, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations.
* Adaptable and open to learning new skills and methodologies.
