In This Role, You Will
* Deliver diversional therapy services to adolescents through comprehensive assessment, planning and delivery of evidence informed interventions
* Facilitate engaging therapeutic groups and provide individual (1:1) support tailored to the needs, interests and goals of young people
* Design, implement and evaluate recreational and leisure based activities that promote capacity building, wellbeing and social connection
* Work closely with a multidisciplinary mental health team to support coordinated, trauma informed and person centred care
* Contribute to effective service delivery through the completion of required documentation and administrative tasks, ensuring safe and efficient care

You Will Bring
* A creative and adaptable approach, with the ability to think outside the box to engage adolescents in therapeutic activities
* An understanding of trauma informed and recovery oriented practice, with a focus on strengths, empowerment and inclusion
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment
* A reliable and professional approach, with availability to work Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday on an ongoing basis
* A genuine interest in contributing consistently to a supportive, dynamic and youth focused mental health service
Selection Criteria
* Recognised Degree in Diversional Therapy with eligibility for membership with the Diversional Therapy Association of Australia National Council.
* Briefly describe your experience providing diversional therapy to mental health consumers in group and/or 1:1 settings, including how you work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Briefly outline your experience with quality improvement or evidence based practice, your communication and computer skills, and how you engage in ongoing professional development.
* Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
