About the Role
The Albany Women's Centre delivers a timely, coordinated, client‐centred and culturally appropriate response to women and children affected by family and domestic violence. It offers a 24‐hour on‐call service, safe and secure crisis accommodation, case management, support groups and advocacy. You will provide a safe refuge and support services to improve the safety, resilience and capability of vulnerable women and their children experiencing family and domestic violence and prevent homelessness. This is a casual opportunity based in Albany.
Responsibilities
* Hold tertiary qualifications in social work, psychology or related discipline, or diploma level qualification with relevant experience, or sufficient relevant experience.
* Engage and build strong relationships with clients who have been impacted by family and domestic violence.
* Possess a developed understanding of the dynamics of family and domestic violence.
* Work in a team and independently across the local region on regular outreach.
* Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Demonstrate conflict resolution, advocacy and negotiation skills.
Qualifications
* Current National Police Clearance valid within one year, WA Working with Children Check and WA Driver's Licence.
