We are looking for an outstanding educator to lead language learning in our Junior School. With an understanding of the intrinsic value of studying a language for its academic benefits and the rich cultural perspectives it offers, the Language Teacher – Junior School works with boys from Years 1-6 to foster a lifelong love of language learning, embracing the academic, cognitive, and wellbeing benefits of language acquisition. Through engaging, age-appropriate pedagogy and culturally rich experiences, this teacher inspires curiosity, respect for diversity, and meaningful learning for students of all abilities.
In alignment with the Senior School language learning offerings, the Language Teacher – Junior School is required to design and deliver a sequenced language curriculum in one of the following four languages – French, German, Italian, or Chinese (Mandarin).
The successful applicant will have:

* Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, marked by integrity and compassion
* Proven excellence and expertise as a classroom language teacher in either French, German, Italian, or Chinese (Mandarin)
* Proven ability to design curriculum
* Proven ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, students and families
* Well-developed organisational and time management skills
* Demonstrated capacity to maintain confidentiality
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in primary education and language teaching
* Relevant qualifications and/or training in child safety and wellbeing
* Current Employee Working with Children check or VIT
