The Position
An excellent opportunity exists for a suitably qualified Warehouse Store Person to join our team in the new year. The ideal candidate will have a proven background in warehouse operations and must hold a valid forklift license. You will be working within a collaborative team setting from Monday to Friday.
This is a role that provides an excellent opportunity for an ambitious, motivated and hard working individual, who is energetic and reliable; a person who is aware of risk management and abides by all WH&S; Policies and Procedures.
The duties of this role will include but are not limited to: -
- Picking and packing sales orders
- Operate a forklift to load, unload, and move goods safely within the warehouse
- Dispatching stock with the required loading of trucks and containers
- Remove inventory from trucks or shipping containers, count, and put away in the proper location.
- Stocking shelves
- Internal transfers to other branches
- Cycle counts
- Assist in the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational targets.
- Other duties as required
- Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security
- Booking freight
Desirable Criteria: -
- Customer service skills
- Good written and oral skills
- Has a good knowledge of measurements and can add/subtract
- Basic computer knowledge
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Has a strong work ethic
- Be able to work reasonable overtime if required including Saturdays
The ideal candidate will have: -
- A current forklift license with a photo ID
- Safety awareness and team attitude
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude
- Ability to work efficiently in a rapid-paced environment
- A passion to learn and develop
To be successful, you will need to have an up-to-date forklift license
