AUSGROUP ENGINEERING SERVICES PTY LTD T/a Ausgroup Industrial Services are currently seeking a dynamic and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our team in supporting the growth and expansion of our business and its operations. This is a full-time role working 38 hours per Week.
This role will be based at the AGIS Paget office located at 38 Len Shield Street, Paget QLD 4740. You will work on a range of mining and ports infrastructure and remediation design projects in supporting works across all our facilities.

Qualifications & Experience
Applicant must have at least one year experience and hold relevant bachelor's degree.
Duties and responsibilities include.
· Plan, coordinate, and provide technical oversight of mechanical engineering projects, delivering end-to-end technical management of estimating, engineering review, procurement, subcontractor coordination, and project execution to meet approved scope, cost, quality, and time requirements.
· Interpret and analyse mechanical engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation to determine design intent, material selection, fabrication and installation methodologies, and quality assurance requirements.
· Perform mechanical engineering calculations, technical analysis, and design verification to support fabrication, installation, and commissioning activities in compliance with relevant Australian Standards and codes.
· Prepare, review, and modify mechanical engineering designs using computer-aided design tools, including AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor, and utilise Navis works for model coordination, clash detection, and constructability review.
· Provide engineering advice, technical instructions, and design clarification to workshop supervisors, leading hands, and production personnel to ensure mechanical works are executed in accordance with approved engineering designs and schedules.
· Develop and confirm production and site execution targets through the engineering estimating and planning process to ensure mechanical works are delivered within approved labour hours and resource allocations.
· Plan and coordinate engineering resources, materials, and logistics, ensuring effective engineering handover to production teams following project approval.
· Monitor and analyse engineering and estimating performance, identify cost, productivity, and scheduling variances, and recommend engineering and process improvements.
· Develop, implement, and maintain mechanical engineering standards, procedures, and policies for installation, modification, quality control, testing, inspection, and maintenance in compliance with statutory and workplace health and safety requirements.
· Identify, assess, and escalate engineering, cost, and delivery risks associated with mechanical designs, estimates, and project execution, and recommend corrective and preventive engineering solutions.
· Prepare and maintain engineering plans, schedules, progress reports, and technical documentation, providing accurate and timely information to management to support engineering and business decision-making.
· Liaise and collaborate with other engineers, production teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to coordinate mechanical engineering activities and achieve project objectives.
A salary between $77,000 - $85,000 will be offered to successful candidate.
