About the Role
As Building Support Coordinator at Adelaide Retaining Walls, you will manage the pre-construction workflow. This is a hands-on coordination role that supports the flow of projects from enquiry through to construction readiness. You will sit within our sales team and be responsible for keeping projects moving forward. The role requires someone who understands construction processes, can read drawings, manage approvals, and keep multiple projects progressing at once. You need to be organised, decisive, and comfortable taking ownership of tasks without being micromanaged.
This role is operational, fast-paced, and detail-heavy.
* Use AroFlo to manage leads, projects, and data accuracy across the business.
* Coordinate documentation, approvals, and communication with engineers, drafting consultants, councils, and our Sales Manager.
* Manage the pre-construction workflow to ensure enquiries are properly scoped, documented, approved, and ready for construction.
What You'll Be Doing
* Managing incoming sales and pre-construction enquiries
* Coordinating design consultants, site documentation, and client information packs
* Supporting quoting and tracking projects through design, approval, and pre-construction
* Managing council submissions and engineering approvals
* Reviewing and interpreting construction drawings
* Maintaining accurate project records in AroFlo
* Acting as the main point of contact for clients, engineers, councils, builders, and consultants
* Coordinating with drafting teams to ensure drawings meet scope and standards
* Providing internal teams with clear, up-to-date project information
Problem-Solving & Project Progression
* Identifying delays or issues and resolving them proactively
* Following up outstanding approvals and documentation
* Implementing practical solutions to keep projects moving
* Improving internal processes to reduce bottlenecks
This Role Is for You If You
* Have experience working with councils, engineers, and builders
* Are comfortable reading construction plans and technical documentation
* Can manage multiple projects without losing accuracy
* Take ownership and follow tasks through to completion
* Are organised, proactive, and confident communicating with stakeholders
What We're Looking For
* Experience in construction, civil, or trade-based environments
* Direct experience managing council and approval processes
* Strong understanding of construction workflows and project stages
* Ability to interpret drawings and technical documents
* Strong communication skills and attention to detail
* Ability to work independently, prioritise effectively, and meet deadlines
* Experience using job management systems (AroFlo highly regarded)
* Experience in project coordination or sales support
* Experience managing engineering approvals and compliance documentation
