We are currently seeking a Disability Support Worker for a regular shift every Wednesday from 9:30am to 2:30pm in Busselton with opportunities to pick up additional shifts as they become available.
In this role you will support a client who enjoys shopping, going to the library and volunteering at a local nursery. This is a great opportunity for someone who is reliable, friendly and passionate about supporting people to live fulfilling independent lives.
In addition to this shift we are also offering a casual role based in Margaret River Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm providing support to various clients depending on availability and client needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Support in day‑to‑day living, encourage independence and accompany on activities and essential outings
* Utilise positive behaviour strategies
* Follow person‑centred plans
* Document progress and keep notes
Skills & Experience
* Experience supporting or engaging with people with disabilities
* Positively engage, interact and work with people who have complex needs
* Computer literacy and administration skills
* Ability to maintain clients' privacy and confidentiality
* Willing to travel to support clients
* Current driver's licence and reliable vehicle
* Provide First Aid & CPR certificate (or willing to obtain prior to employment)
Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including a National Criminal History Record Check and an NDIS Worker Screening check.
