Humpty Doo Barramundi is Australia's biggest Barramundi farm. This 100% family owned, and operated farm. HDB prides itself on growing a premium saltwater Barramundi for Australia's retail and food service.

Our mission is to responsibly produce beautiful Australian Barramundi while demonstrating our genuine care for and commitment to our people, fish, environment and partners.

We are seeking a Grow Out Manager. This is an important leadership position in our Darwin based company. You will be a committed, self-starter with strong leadership capabilities, willing and able to work at all levels from pond side to production meetings and delivering advice to our teams. Reporting directly to the Fish Production Manager, your primary responsibility is Managing the Grow Out team and their daily activities. Ideally, you will have either aquatic animal production experience in ponds or with barramundi, but we are open to applicants with other experience.

Qualifications and Experience:

* Formal tertiary qualifications in aquaculture or a closely related science-based field
* Demonstrated previous experience in aquaculture or commercial live food production
* Current drivers license
* Senior first aid or ability to obtain

* Lead and supervise your team members to help them prioritise workloads for daily operations and scheduled work
* Teach, support, and look after your team, they are in your care
* Look after the fish, they are in your care too
* Proactively solve problems, it's a farm we invent solutions
* Understanding of WHS practices we need to keep our people safe
* Support the Fish Production Manager you are part of his team
* Provide project outcomes on time and within budget without compromising standards
* Strive for best practice we are a leader in Barramundi farming for a reason
* Reporting, it needs to be accurate and on time we need to know so we can make good business decisions
* Interact with colleagues in a positive, courteous and respectful manner, because we are all in this together as one team and fish farming in the bush can be tough so it helps to be human
