We are seeking a talented individual to join our Risk and Compliance team. This role can be based anywhere in Australia, offering a hybrid work arrangement with at least three days of office presence.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver strategic risk advisory services across Marsh Pacific and its related insurance entities, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
* Provide expert risk advisory services on governance, risk management practices, and compliance obligations for insurance entities.
* Lead comprehensive risk assessments, identifying key risks and recommending effective mitigation strategies.
* Monitor and analyze emerging risks, providing timely insights to senior leadership for informed decision-making.
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance risk management practices and support business units in their risk management efforts.
Requirements:
* University-level qualifications in finance, law, business management, economics, or equivalent.
* Experience in governance, regulatory compliance, or legal areas, particularly within the insurance sector in Australia, New Zealand, or the United Kingdom.
* Strong understanding of risk management systems, compliance frameworks, and local regulatory environments (e.g., APRA, ASIC).
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior executives and boards.
Desirable Skills:
* Experience in general insurance, insurance brokering, or insurance regulation.
* Ability to provide strategic advice on risk culture and compliance matters.
* Strong analytical skills with a focus on data interpretation and actionable insights.
* Proven ability to manage deliverables in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
