About the Role
Transport Network Management ensures safe, reliable, and sustainable infrastructure across the Sunshine Coast. The branch delivers quality asset management and construction, supporting a resilient transport network for our growing region. As an Asset Quality Engineer, you'll safeguard new transport assets, ensuring compliance and long-term value. This role blends technical expertise with strategic influence—reviewing designs, assessing quality, and driving best practices. If you're passionate about sustainable engineering and making a real impact, this is your chance.
Key responsibilities include:
* Audit and inspect donated assets and new infrastructure for compliance and quality
* Review infrastructure designs and provide specialist advice to minimise maintenance costs
* Investigate and recommend improvements for transport assets with whole-of-life considerations
* Research and promote best practice solutions and innovative products across delivery areas
About you
Technical Expertise
You hold tertiary qualifications in civil engineering, asset management, or a related field, with proven experience in road pavements, bridges, and retaining structures.
Analytical Mindset
You excel at problem-solving and investigations, applying sound judgment to deliver practical, cost-effective solutions.
Collaborative Communicator
Your strong communication and negotiation skills help you build positive relationships and achieve outcomes in complex situations.
Adaptable and Innovative
