About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of the National Firearms Register (NFR) project under the Digital Transformation Program. This initiative supports frontline policing by integrating firearms data with national intelligence systems to enhance community safety. You will report to the Program Director and be responsible for managing multiple workstreams, stakeholder engagement and ensuring alignment with broader digital transformation efforts.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and coordinate the delivery of the NFR project in accordance with program governance.
* Manage project documentation, reporting and stakeholder communications.
* Drive collaboration across agencies and influence stakeholder expectations.
* Represent NT interests in national meetings and working groups.
* Monitor project performance, risks and interdependencies.
* Support other digital transformation initiatives as required.
Scope of Work
* Data uplift and quality assurance
* Registry and portal enhancement
* Legislation policy and business process reform
* Integration and inter‑agency data sharing
* Business change and stakeholder engagement
Requirements
Clearance Required: National Police Clearance PF166
Essential Skills & Experience
* Minimum 5 years experience in policing, law enforcement or justice‑sector projects.
* Understanding of firearms legislation and national agreements.
* Experience in ICT‑enabled business change or data uplift projects.
* Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
* Proven leadership and project management capabilities.
* High‑level written and presentation skills.
* Ability to manage risks and deliver in dynamic environments.
Desirable Qualifications
* Formal qualifications in a relevant discipline.
* Knowledge of the Firearms Act 1997 (NT) and the National Firearms Register.
* Familiarity with government data or case‑management systems.
