Tandem Partners is proud to be partnering with a highly recognisable Australian organisation undergoing a significant multi-year transformation to appoint an exceptional Head of Talent.

This is a rare opportunity to step into an enterprise-wide role, shaping how talent is attracted, engaged and experienced across a complex, customer-centric, multi-brand business.


The opportunity

Reporting into the GM Talent, Capability and Organisational Effectiveness, and joining a newly refreshed and highly regarded People team, the Head of Talent will lead the end-to-end talent acquisition function, overseeing a team across high-volume retail recruitment and corporate hiring, while also impacting broader Talent Management across the organisation.

The organisation is in the midst of a broad transformation agenda spanning brand, customer experience and product categories. Talent sits squarely at the centre of this agenda.

This role is about resetting and scaling, building fit-for-purpose processes and systems, elevating capability, and partnering with the business to influence and deliver high-quality talent outcomes.


What You’ll Be Accountable For

* Leading and evolving the end-to-end talent acquisition function across a large, multi-brand environment
* Redesigning recruitment processes to support scale, efficiency and quality by championing the intelligent use of technology
* Partnering with senior leaders to anticipate and deliver workforce needs aligned to strategic priorities
* Owning Employer Brand and Diversity, as week as key involvement in the talent management process
* Building a high-performance team culture underpinned by continuous improvement
* Playing a critical role in the integration of multiple ATS platforms into a cohesive and future ready recruitment tech stack
* Direct involvement in critical and senior-level recruitment and appointments


About you

This role will suit a hands-on senior talent leader who combines gravitas with pragmatism - someone who can operate at enterprise level while remaining closely connected to delivery. You’re known for your ability to bring clarity and direction, engaging others and bringing people with you.


You’ll bring

* Deep experience leading Talent Acquisition functions at scale
* A balance of high volume and corporate recruitment expertise
* Strong people leadership capability, including coaching
* Experience navigating large scale change, integration or transformation
* A genuine curiosity about the business and how talent enables strategy
* Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders without ego
* Retail or customer-centric experience is valued

Remuneration
