About the Role
The Manager, Strategic Research Analysis and Reporting leads the development and delivery of the University's research performance management and reporting framework. You will oversee the creation and continual improvement of strategic reporting assets, ensuring alignment with institutional priorities and research success measures. Working with significant autonomy, you will coordinate the collection, analysis and presentation of qualitative and quantitative data to support strategic planning, compliance and the effective communication of the University's research performance.
Reporting to the DVC Research and Innovation and embedded within the Research and Innovation portfolio, you will collaborate with senior executives, academic leaders, the Enterprise Data team and the Strategy Division. You will influence data integrity, contribute to research information system development and build strong relationships across faculties and professional teams to ensure stakeholders have access to accurate, timely and meaningful research insights.
About You
You hold a relevant tertiary qualification and bring experience developing performance management and reporting frameworks, ideally in a research or higher education environment. You're skilled at analysing diverse data sources, aligning metrics with strategy and turning complex information into clear, actionable insights.
You communicate confidently with senior leaders and researchers, produce high quality reports and presentations, and manage complex, multi stakeholder projects with ease. You also understand the research landscape, including performance metrics, funding models and benchmarking frameworks such as ERA, REF and QS rankings.
