About the Role: Our client is delivering an essential water treatment facility servicing the Springvale Mine and Mount Piper Power Station—a project that plays a crucial role in ensuring both environmental compliance and the continued operation of infrastructure that provides 15% of NSW’s power supply. The Springvale Water Treatment Plant is currently undergoing expansion and upgrade works to support increased capacity and system resilience. This stage of the project focuses on: Expansion of the existing treatment capacity to accommodate increased mine water flow. Structural improvement works on the water pipeline and plant infrastructure. Coordination of upgrade works across civil, mechanical, and electrical interfaces. Supporting the implementation of additional brine treatment systems to further reduce environmental impact. Key Responsibilities: Oversee day-to-day site engineering activities relating to the expansion and upgrade works. Support the Project Manager with contractor coordination, progress tracking, and issue resolution. Ensure all construction and installation works are delivered to scope, schedule, and compliance standards. Assist in reviewing engineering designs and documentation for constructability and quality. Monitor project milestones and report on progress, risks, and site performance. Maintain strong communication between internal teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders. Experience & Qualifications: Minimum 3 years experience on water/waste-water treatment plant projects or heavy infrastructure sites. Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Structural, or Civil) Strong understanding of construction and commissioning processes, ideally in brownfield environments. Excellent contractor and stakeholder management skills. A hands-on, solutions-oriented mindset with a commitment to site safety and quality.
