Join the team at Gold Coast Private Hospital as a Food Services Assistant! We're looking for experienced professionals to bring their skills to our team on a casual basis. If you take pride in your work, possess a friendly & positive attitude, have experience in food services within a healthcare environment or hospitality and enjoy providing exceptional customer service, this role is for you!
This role requires the successful candidate to be available to work on a 7-day rotating roster, AM and PM shifts.
* AM shift – 5:45am – 14.30pm
* PM shifts - 14:30pm – 21:00pm and 16:30pm – 21:00pm
About us
Established in 2016, Gold Coast Private Hospital is a state‐of‐the‐art, 339‐bed facility located in the heart of the Gold Coast Precinct in Southport.
As a Food Services Assistant, your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
* Provide exceptional customer / patient service by preparing and serving food throughout the facility / designated area, including setting up, plating, and distributing food and beverages and by participating in food safety processes
* Assist in general cleaning of kitchen equipment and utensils including dish and pot washing as required
* Act as a valued member of an interdisciplinary team by promoting a professional and positive team culture, communicating and offering help to team members and liaising with other staff to create an experience that makes a difference
* Be comfortable working with equipment such as food trolleys and carrying food trays
* Authority to Work in Australia
* Experience in Healthcare/hospitality (preferred)
* Working with Children check (if relevant)
* Commitment to service excellence
* Strong time management and prioritisation skills
* Excellent communication and customer service abilities
* Keen attention to detail
* Work well independently and within a team
* Available for on-call shifts
