In this vital role, you’ll operate wheelchair-accessible mini buses, ensuring the safe and timely transport of passengers along designated routes. You’ll provide excellent customer service to a diverse range of passengers, including students with disability, and contribute to a supportive and inclusive transport environment. Key responsibilities include: Safely operating a wheelchair-accessible mini-bus. Delivering friendly, professional customer service while following scheduled routes. Performing pre-drive vehicle checks, maintaining operating records, and reporting any defects or maintenance needs. Ensuring the general security of the bus while in service. Cleaning, disinfecting, and refuelling vehicles to maintain high standards of hygiene and safety. This role does not involve direct supervision of staff but requires a high level of independence, responsibility, and care. Eligibility/Other Requirements: Visa holders are eligible to apply for both permanent and temporary roles. Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required. Hold a current First Aid certificate including Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). Notes: This position will be offered on a casual basis and the full-time salary noted above will be paid pro-rata. An order of merit will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill future identical vacancies over the next 12 months.
