We're looking for a proactive and detail-driven Finance & Projects Officer to manage core finance functions.
This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys both operational finance work and systems thinking.
If you're comfortable in Xero, confident with client billing (especially NDIS), and capable of turning process knowledge into practical user manuals and guides — this role is for you.
What You'll Be Doing Finance Operations
Payroll: Manage end-to-end payroll for ~200 employees using Xero Payroll
NDIS Invoicing: Prepare and process invoices for agency-managed and plan-managed clients.
Accounts Payable: Process and reconcile supplier invoices.
Client Plan Analysis: Track revenue and funding utilisation across individual NDIS client plans, providing regular reporting.
Projects & Process Improvement Develop user manuals, quick-reference guides, and training materials for finance-related systems and processes.
Coordinate across teams to ensure smooth adoption of new tools and workflows.
Identify and drive process improvements to enhance financial operations.
What You Bring Essential Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or similar.
At least 3 years of experience in a finance or accounting role.
Advanced Xero experience, especially with Xero Payroll.
Strong Excel skills for data analysis, reporting, and forecasting.
Experience with NDIS billing and a solid understanding of funding structures (NDIA & Plan Managers).
Ability to create clear, user-friendly documentation (e.g., user manuals, SOPs).
Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently.
Desirable Experience supporting financial system implementations or upgrades.
Prior exposure to the NDIS or other government-funded programs.
Project coordination or change management experience in a finance setting.
