Hays Recruitment has partnered with a well-established industry leader in transport services who have an exciting opportunity for an experienced transport coordinator to join their team on a permanent basis. This role is in Melbourne's eastern suburbs.
Your new role
In your new role as a transport scheduler, you will be responsible for:
* Coordinating bus schedules, driver shifts, and route assignments.
* Ensure buses are dispatched on time and routes are covered.
* Manage weekend and after-hours driver rosters and fleet allocation.
* Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
* Maintain driver diaries and monitor fatigue compliance.
* Provide customer service support by handling issues, delays etc.
* Build client relationships and promote services.
What you'll need to succeed
* Experience in a similar transport scheduler or fleet allocator role.
* Strong knowledge of Metro Melbourne
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access), with strong data entry skills.
* Attention to detail and problem-solving
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
