Job Description
Role
Civilmart has an exciting opportunity for a driven and highly motivated Civil Estimator.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide accurate and timely quotations/proposals per Civilmart's design principles and methodologies.
2. Identify value-adding options to achieve Civilmart's vision.
3. Ensure smooth, timely, and comprehensive handovers to internal clients pre- and post-award for estimated projects.
4. Manage client expectations by understanding project value and external project status.
5. Collaborate with Project Coordinators to provide accurate information at handover, ensuring continuous communication.
6. Estimate costs to manufacture and supply products, providing clients with accurate quotations based on the scope of work.
7. Read and interpret civil plans and detailed drawings to generate data for pricing and shop cards based on company methodologies.
8. Transfer information accurately between internal systems, civil plans, drawings, and details.
9. Liaise with Business Development Managers, Project Coordinators, and Drafters to understand needs and offer value-added solutions.
Ideal Candidate Attributes:
1. Previous experience in a similar role (essential).
2. Experience in infrastructure, manufacturing, or construction (desirable).
3. Experience with electrical, communications, or drainage projects (desirable).
4. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
5. Ability to accurately calculate materials, labor, and time for complex projects.
6. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and in teams.
7. Proactive in streamlining estimating processes and supporting growth.
8. Adaptability to changing requirements and willingness to grow within the team.
