A well-established main contractor with a strong and secured pipeline of building projects across Newcastle or Hunter region is seeking multiple Senior Contracts Administrators to join the delivery team.
This role suits a commercially strong Senior Contracts Administrator who understands head contract risk, runs their own commercial scope, and operates as a key decision-maker within the project team. You will have clear ownership of the commercial function, supported by experienced leadership and established systems, from procurement through to final account.
Key responsibilities
• Head contract and subcontract administration across the full project lifecycle
• Trade procurement, contract negotiation and package award
• Variations, claims, EOTs and Security of Payment management
• Cost control, cash flow forecasting and monthly commercial reporting
• Identification and management of commercial risk and opportunity
• Contractual notices, correspondence and compliance
• Commercial input into procurement strategy and programme outcomes
• Ongoing engagement with subcontractors, consultants and suppliers
About you
• Minimum five years experience as a Contracts Administrator on Australian building projects
• Currently operating at Senior CA level or performing at that standard
• Strong understanding of head contracts and subcontract conditions
• Confident managing variations, progress claims, forecasting and cost reporting
• Degree qualified in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or similar, or equivalent industry experience
• Commercially disciplined, detail-focused and comfortable exercising judgement
• Experience across education, commercial or similar building projects preferred
