Job Description:
As a technician in outdoor power equipment, you will undertake formal and on-the-job training to develop skills in small engines.
Key Responsibilities:
* Complete a Certificate III in Outdoor Power Equipment Technology at TAFE North Queensland.
* Develop practical skills to repair and service electrical and mechanical outdoor power equipment including lawn mowers, chainsaws, brush cutters, pumps, generators, and various other equipment.
* Identify components of small engines, perform daily maintenance, and carry out safe refuelling and pre-start checks.
To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications:
* Minimum completed Year 10 with passes in English and Mathematics.
* Minimum Queensland C class provisional driver's licence (or ability to obtain).
* Sound written and verbal communication skills.
* Sound computer skills.
* Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
* Willingness to undertake the requirements to successfully complete the associated qualification.
