Overview
QLeave is seeking an exceptional people leader to guide and elevate their compliance, enforcement and levies functions at a time of growth and transformation.

This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact for Queensland workers by strengthening the integrity and performance of their portable long service leave schemes across the building and construction, contract cleaning and community services industries.

As a statutory authority with more than $2 billion in funds under management, QLeave operates in a complex regulatory environment where strong governance, human rights principles and a values-driven culture underpin everything they do.
Reporting to the Executive Director, Customer and Front Line Services, you will provide strategic direction, decisive leadership and authoritative advice on all compliance and enforcement matters.

You will lead a committed team and play a critical role in building capability, embedding regulatory best practice and cultivating a high‑performance culture that is engaged, accountable and focused on achieving results for the community.

This position requires a leader who can mentor, develop and inspire others, while ensuring clear decision‑making, operational discipline and consistency across regulatory activities.

Your leadership will be central to driving a proactive, risk‑based approach to triage, assessment, investigations and enforcement, ensuring QLeave's actions are fair, proportionate and grounded in strong evidence.

As a key member of QLeave's leadership team, you will influence enterprise‑level direction by contributing to strategic planning, complex problem‑solving and whole‑of‑organisation initiatives.

You will provide high‑level legal, regulatory and strategic advice on issues relating to legislation, stakeholder engagement, governance and service delivery, and will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen voluntary compliance and promote understanding of statutory obligations.

Your ability to navigate complexity, communicate with confidence and lead with integrity will be critical to your success in this role.
We are seeking a candidate with significant leadership experience in regulatory or compliance environments, demonstrated capability in interpreting legislation and applying complex statutory frameworks, and a strong track record of developing high‑performing teams.

Your understanding of risk, governance and regulatory practice will position you to deliver a modern, responsive and effective compliance function that supports public confidence and delivers fair outcomes.

This is an ideal opportunity for a values‑driven individual who wants to contribute to a purpose‑led organisation while advancing their leadership career.
