The Opportunity
We are looking for an exceptional relationship builder to be the heartbeat of our community engagement - building trusted, face-to-face relationships with Indigenous social enterprises, members, alumni, and strategic partners across the NT.
You will be on the ground, travelling regularly to regional and remote areas, listening deeply, connecting people to opportunities, and ensuring our community feels supported and valued. This is a senior practitioner role with no direct reports - you will work collaboratively across our leadership and program teams.
What You'll Do
Build deep community relationships through in-person engagement
* Conduct regular site visits to member businesses and Indigenous social enterprises
* Travel to regional and remote areas to meet community members where they are
* Facilitate personal introductions and connections between members
* Keep alumni engaged in advocacy, events, and community moments
Grow and nurture our membership community
* Identify and convert prospective members through community engagement and strategic outreach
* Guide members through the membership journey with needs-based conversations
* Coordinate tailored opportunities for members—roundtables, conferences, strategic introductions
* Broker connections between members and relevant opportunities, mentors, and networks
* Generate cowork leads and assess affiliate partnerships
Shape events and program engagement
* Plan and coordinate major events with the leadership team
* Drive outreach across multiple channels to maximize participation
* Identify and engage facilitators, mentors, and speakers from the community
* Develop leads for program participation across Business Builder, Stepping Into Business, and cowork
About You
You are a natural connector with exceptional relationship-building skills and a community-first mindset. You love in-person engagement, are comfortable with regular regional travel, and can balance relational work with outcomes.
You bring:
* Strong track record in stakeholder engagement, relationship management, and ethical, needs-based sales
* Experience working with social enterprises, Indigenous organisations, or purpose-led communities
* Excellent communication and facilitation skills across diverse stakeholder groups
* High-level organisation and ability to manage multiple priorities
* Deep understanding of networked communities (lived experience highly regarded)
* Alignment with the mission of supporting Indigenous businesses and social enterprises
