Job Description:
Biosecurity Officer
Promote and protect Queensland's biosecurity by supporting local government with their planning processes.
* Support local governments with their biosecurity planning processes.
* Undertake compliance and enforcement using the powers of an Inspector under the Biosecurity Act 2014.
* Participate in operations directed at eradicating invasive pest plants and animals.
Gain experience in various aspects of biosecurity, including policy development, operational procedures, and technical advice.
Work with multiple stakeholders to enhance the skills, knowledge, and personal development of stakeholders.
Participate in state, regional, and local biosecurity operations and contribute to programs for enhancing stakeholder capabilities.
