About the Role This is an opportunity for a skilled family lawyer who is confident managing both parenting and property matters, and is ready to take ownership of files while working closely with a Director and a highly capable law clerk. While support and mentorship are available, you'll be trusted to work with a high degree of autonomy and expected to bring initiative, sound judgment, and genuine care to both your clients and your matters. What You’ll Be Doing You’ll handle a variety of family law work with a focus on: Parenting and property matters Child and spousal support issues Intervention order applications Your day to day will involve: Drafting and preparing a range of court documents, including Initiating Applications, Responses, Affidavits, Binding Financial Agreements, and Consent Orders Reviewing disclosure material, financial documents, and subpoena returns Providing tailored legal advice and correspondence to clients with care and precision Liaising with clients, barristers, courts, and experts in a professional and proactive manner Managing deadlines and progressing matters efficiently while maintaining a high standard of work Supporting the practice with diary management, time recording, and end-of-month billing Getting involved in business development and staying up to date with family law developments What We’re Looking For 3-5 years post admission experience in family law Confident in both parenting and property law matters Ability to work autonomously with sound legal judgment and initiative Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong drafting skills and attention to detail Comfortable managing complex documents and meeting litigation deadlines Previous experience in a client focused role, ideally in a family law setting A positive, professional attitude and a genuine interest in delivering strong outcomes for clients Why Join This Team?
