About the role
Reporting to the National Care Services Manager, you'll be a trusted clinical leader and sounding board for regional care teams. You'll balance clinical excellence with commercial, legal and people considerations — ensuring services are delivered safely, effectively and with care, while fostering a psychologically safe, supportive and inclusive workplace.
You'll play a key role in building confident, capable, high‐performing teams and embedding strong clinical governance practices across the organisation.
Key responsibilities
* Lead and embed clinical governance practices aligned with legislative, regulatory and organisational requirements
* Embed expected behaviours and lead people initiatives that strengthen capability, engagement and retention
* Support teams through change with clarity, compassion and consistency
* Build a values‐led culture that prioritises psychological safety and professional growth
* Identify, monitor and manage key risk areas and lead appropriate escalation and response
* Oversee care management practices, reviewing participant care plans and assessments to ensure they are current, accurate and reflect assessed needs, risks and goals
* Lead continuous improvement practice to enhance service efficiency while maintaining high‐quality, participant‐centred care
* Collaborate with palliative care teams, general practitioners, multidisciplinary teams and family members to ensure coordinated, holistic care
* Support high‐risk and complex participant cohorts, including palliative and end‐of‐life care
* Provide clinical guidance for participants in the Short‐Term Restorative Care (STRC) program
About you
You'll bring:
* Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop high‐performing teams through adaptive, values‐based leadership
* Sound judgement and critical thinking, even in complex situations
* Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse with no restrictions
* Strong working knowledge of Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards, clinical governance requirements, and funding utilisation of home care programs
* The ability to build trusted, credible relationships with a broad range of stakeholders
* Clarity, confidence and consistency in communication
* Agility and resilience in a changing environment
