About the Role
As a Drill and Blast Team Leader, you'll oversee daily operations ensuring compliance, performance, and safety in an open cut mining environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure adherence to statutory and company requirements for a secure work environment
* Supervise daily drilling and blasting activities including prestarts, inspections, and drill preparations across multiple sites
* Guide and support drill & blast teams to maintain safe and productive operations, utilizing risk management and best practices
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Hold a valid Shotfirer certificate and possess relevant experience
* Prior experience in drill & blast operations within an open cut mining setting is essential
* Strong knowledge of safety protocols and procedures is crucial for this role
* Leadership and mentoring skills are highly regarded
