Working arrangements: Full-time onsite for the first 6 weeks. A hybrid WFH arrangement, usually a minimum of 3 days/week onsite, will be considered from the location of their capital city.
Length of contract: Up to 12 months
Contract extensions: 2x 12 months
Security clearance: Must be able to obtain Baseline clearance
Rates: $70 - $85 per hour (inc. super)

The Test Analyst will determine and then carry out testing activities to validate the design and behaviour of systems and services. They will also ensure that their test effort is effectively executed and that allocated activities are completed in a structured, consistent manner in accordance with agreed test guidelines. They will be required to use their in-depth knowledge to provide technical advice and development to less experienced testers.
The Test Analyst will work under the general direction and support of senior staff. They will exercise a degree of independent judgement and make decisions within defined parameters that require reliance on skills and knowledge. They will plan their own work and contribute to teamwork goals in the context of competing priorities, and changes in workplace practices and business improvement strategies.
Key duties and responsibilities:
* Execute assigned test cases at various stages of testing on appropriate testing platforms
* Develop test plans, test cases, task cards, and supporting test data and/or requirements, under own direction from the specifications provided
* Analyse and report on test activities and results, and escalate issues and risks to senior staff
* Contribute to team improvement initiatives and projects, including team tools, process changes, and test automation.
* Identify, manage and document defects, programming errors and operational characteristics that are inconsistent with stated requirements and design specifications
* Conduct testing to ensure the ICT service functions as per requirements
* Create test data within external software vendor environment
* Accurately record time and effort for test cases
* Allocate work to team members, using judgement to match issue complexity and staff capability
* Provide assistance and training to less experienced testers
* Support team to follow business processes and align to overall delivery outcomes
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ICT related legislation, policy and processes and transfer knowledge to other team members
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective and timely implementation of projects
* Provide advice and assistance to external software vendors in regard to testing and development of software
* Assist with cost analysis activities as required
* Exercise appropriate delegations in accordance with legislation and guidelines.
Technical skills required but not limited to:
* Waterfall and agile methodologies
* Test automation tools
* Test management tools (e.g. Opentext ALM)
* SAP CRM
* SAP S4/HANA
* Prior experience within government or similar large-scale organisation
* Testing: Level 4 (SFIA) - Selects appropriate testing approach, including manual and automated testing. Develops and executes test plans and test cases. Implements scalable and reliable automated tests and frameworks. Collaborates across parties involved in product, systems or service design and development to enable comprehensive test coverage. Identifies improvements in requirements, design or specification processes to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of testing. Analyses and reports on test activities, results, issues and risks, including the work of others.
* Quality assurance: Level 3 (SFIA) - Contributes to the collection of evidence and the conduct of formal audits or reviews of activities. Examines records for evidence that appropriate testing and other quality control activities have taken place. Determines compliance with organisational directives, standards and procedures and identifies non-compliances, non-conformances and abnormal occurrences.
