We are partnering with a Queensland Government department seeking an experienced and strategic Manager to join a high-impact Special Projects team driving implementation of regional development initiatives. This role sits at the intersection of economic development, cross-agency leadership and place-based delivery. It exists to ensure regional priorities don’t just sit in strategy documents but instead are governed effectively, mobilised efficiently and delivered with measurable impact. The Impact You’ll Have In this role; you will strengthen the way government agencies collaborate to unlock regional development opportunity. You will: Lead best-practice stakeholder engagement and partnership-building approaches across agencies and governance levels. Support the mobilisation and delivery of priority regional projects aligned to economic, social and infrastructure outcomes. Establish consistent, practical project management frameworks that improve transparency, reporting and accountability. Identify systemic barriers to cross-agency collaboration and escalate issues to governance bodies for resolution. Prepare high-quality briefings, project plans and strategic reports aligned with Queensland Government processes. Analyse regional priorities and provide strategic advice to senior leaders on emerging challenges and opportunities. Support and facilitate Regional Leadership Networks to ensure coordinated, place-based solutions. Coordinate meetings, actions, reporting and knowledge-sharing across multiple regions. Develop clear, purposeful communication materials to support regional engagement and delivery. Maintain strong governance standards, including privacy and confidentiality management. This role requires both strategic oversight and operational coordination and the ability to see the whole system while driving progress at the project level. About You You are a strategic, relationship-driven leader who is comfortable operating in government environments. You will bring: Demonstrated expertise in regional development Strong capability building trusted relationships across diverse stakeholders Advanced project management and governance experience Knowledge of Queensland Government processes and decision-making frameworks Strong research, analytical and strategic briefing skills Experience working within collaborative, multi-agency environments Travel across Queensland may be required, including occasional overnight stays.
