About the opportunity:

Join the St Vincent's Private Hospital Brisbane team at our spectacular Kangaroo Campus. We are seeking an enthusiastic Ward Clerk for a 5-month part-time contract (25 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–1:00pm, ending 30th June In this role you will be pivotal in ensuring smooth administrative operations and a seamless experience for our patients and visitors.

As our Ward Clerk you will provide essential support across the ward administrative functions. A snapshot of your duties include:

* Greeting patients, visitors and other customers

* Liaising with nursing staff to provide accurate information to patients and families

* Preparing, maintaining, and managing patient files, medical records, and appointment lists

* Providing clerical and administrative support to the NUM and nursing team

* Coordinating with allied health, qld xray and various hospital departments to support patient care, treatments, and transfers

* A professional phone manner, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills

* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and work under pressure

* Competent computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

* The ability to problem-solve, take initiative, and work both independently and collaboratively

* Previous hospital administration experience is desirable
