The opportunity
We are seeking a Manager for our expanding EY Private Corporate Tax team in Sydney. Our team collaborates with leading entrepreneurs, private equity-backed companies, and founder-led businesses.
EY Private's Tax practice aims to help our clients navigate a rapidly changing business and tax landscape. Our professionals combine agility, diverse perspectives, deep tax expertise, and innovative technology and analytics to deliver exceptional value through strategic, efficient, and accountable solutions. Your key responsibilities
1. Advise clients on Australian tax law applications.
2. Provide strategic tax planning and structuring advice for inbound and outbound groups.
3. Deliver post-deal taxation services and ad-hoc advice to acquired companies.
4. Guide clients on tax corporate governance policies and processes.
5. Review corporate income tax returns.
6. Prepare and review tax effect accounting figures.
7. Serve as a primary contact for your clients.
8. Manage the delivery of tax services to clients.
9. Collaborate with Partners on market development initiatives.

Skills and attributes for success
To qualify for the role, you must have
* Experience in Corporate Tax Advisory and Compliance, preferably in a top-tier accounting firm or corporate consulting environment.
* Tax technical knowledge relevant to private companies and collective investment vehicles.
* Experience managing junior staff and their development.
* Strong relationship-building skills.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ideally, you'll also have
* Strong commercial awareness.
* Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
