**The opportunity**
Our client is a community focused federal government agency. They have an exciting opportunity available for an EL1 Assitant Director, Service Design, to join their Service Guidance and Practice branch in their Participant Experience Design division.
- 12-month initial contract with the opportunity to extend
- EL1 level role offering a daily rate of $602.55 + Super.
- Option to be Richmond or Geelong based, with 3 days in the office and 2 from home
**The role**
As an EL1 Assistant Director, your role will focus on system improvements, creation of clear operational guidelines for front line staff to achieve improved services for customers.
Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
- Initiating, establishing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders to develop collaborative guidance to support service delivery
- Providing strategic advice about the key stages of the participant pathway, specific participant cohorts and technical processes within SAP CRM and PACE business system requirements
- Providing support to drive business improvement in access and planning processes including expert advice to internal and external stakeholders
- Raising awareness of critical issues to senior management through regular management reporting to senior management
- Providing effective leadership to a small team of staff delivering Agency Guidelines, letters and knowledge articles
- Prioritising completing priorities and provide advice to the Agency's executive team about overall team capacity, scope of work and progress against key deliverables
- Providing considered advice to multi-disciplinary teams and the Agency's executive, Board, Minister and other Australian Government Departments in a timely manner
**About you**
To success in this role, you will need:
- Strong experience in service improvement, customer experience, and process improvement
- Previous experience in government
- Ability to resolve issues and risks across a broad range of activities of substantial depth and significant detail
- Initiating, establishing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders (internal and external) to develop collaborative guidance to support service delivery
- Developing and managing a high performing team
- Fostering a collaborative culture
- Understanding of the NDIS and the NDIS Act 2013
- Providing effective leadership to a small team of staff delivering Agency Guidelines, letters and knowledge articles
- Having a focus on a positive team/branch culture and demonstrating Agency values
- Ability to provide strategic advice about the key stages of the participant pathway, specific participant cohorts and technical processes within SAP CRM and PACE business system requirements
