The OpportunityWe are seeking a highly organised and motivated Executive Assistant to provide comprehensive administrative, research, and business support to the Director of Economic Development and Advocacy, as well as to the Economic Development, Major Events, and Advocacy teams.
This role is central to ensuring smooth operations, delivering excellent customer service, and promoting a culture of "we are here to help."About the RoleIn this role, you will:Provide high-level executive support, including diary management, meeting coordination, and travel arrangements for the Director and teams.Prepare and coordinate correspondence, reports, presentations, agendas, and meeting minutes.Assist with managing deadlines and deliverables for Council, Committee, and Workshop meetings.Provide business and project support to the Economic Development, Major Events, and Advocacy teams, including stakeholder meetings, document management, event signage, and grant administration.Undertake financial administration such as purchasing, procurement, work orders, receipting, and corporate card processing.Maintain records of resolutions, track progress, and follow up on action items.Act as a key communication point with Councillors, staff, community members, suppliers, and external agencies.Identify opportunities to improve office processes and operational efficiencies.About YouDemonstrated experience in providing executive and administrative support at a senior level.Robust organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.High-level written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to prepare professional correspondence and reports.Sound knowledge of administrative processes, including procurement, document management, and financial administration.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively across all levels of the organisation and with external stakeholders.A proactive and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and confidence working with corporate systems.About PrecruitmentWith offices in Cairns and Townsville, Precruitment is Regional Queensland's leading recruitment consultancy.
